Discipleship Explored

Helping Christians to grow in their faith

Perhaps you have just begun to follow Christ. What does life as a Christian look like?

At Livingston Free Church, we are keen to encourage Christians and help them grow in their faith. Over the years, we have run courses such as Discipleship Explored and God’s Big Picture, which are a great way to explore the Bible, ask questions and discover more about what it means to be a follower of Christ.

During such courses, a group meets for a series of Bible studies held in a home setting. These groups are informal and anyone is welcome. Participants are welcome to come for a main course meal followed by coffee or to arrive just in time for the study.

Here are some quotes from some of those who took part in the last series:

The meetings are a highlight in my month and I learn so much from writing up my notes afterwards.

God’s Big Picture study series and DVDs allowed me to fill in some gaps in my knowledge of how the Bible fits together.

I really enjoyed discussing the Bible in a small group as I could ask questions.

What’s the best love you’ve ever known?

Discipleship Explored helps followers of Jesus turn up the gospel soundtrack to their lives.

It goes beyond simply teaching the right moves – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on the music which drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know.

This eight-session journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life. It features brand-new documentary-style films and inspiring real-life stories from around the world, Bible studies and weekly reading plans, and a beautifully redesigned Handbook.
