What are services like?
Our Sunday services are a precious opportunity to gather as a church family and worship God together by singing, praying and exploring the Bible.
Worshipping together is vital to the growth and development of our faith in God. When we come to church, we are reflecting a desire to be under the power of God’s revealed word. It is also an opportunity to approach God in a way that reflects the biblical patterns of worship.
Where and what time do you meet?
We normally gather together twice on a Sunday at 11.00am and 5.00pm at our building on 7 Jackson Place in Eliburn, Livingston. You can find a map and parking directions here.
What happens during the service?
Everyone who comes along is given a warm welcome at the front door and if you would like a Bible we have plenty available inside the church.
Our worship services typically follow the pattern below and last for about one hour:
- Welcome
- Opening Praise
- Opening Prayer
- Message for the Children
- Praise
- Reading the Bible
- Second Prayer
- Praise
- Sermon (normally around 25-30 mins)
- Closing Praise
- Concluding Prayer and Benediction
After the morning service, hot and cold drinks and refreshments are served in the hall. This is a great opportunity to catch up with each other and meet new people.
Visitors are encouraged to stay for tea and coffee if they are able – we are a very friendly church, and this is a perfect opportunity for us to meet and get to know you!
